'Aadi' is a 2002 released action drama starring Jr NTR in the lead role. The film showcased NTR in a powerful factionist kind of role which became one of the classic hits in his career.
Featuring Keerthi Chawla as the female lead, V. V. Vinayak is helming this project. The film got released on 28 March 2002 which became a box office spinner. It has been 18 years since the release of the movie and is still considered one of the best in NTR's career. The story is set in the backdrop of Rayalaseema and factionalism. This movie got released in 118 centers and ran for 100 days in 98 centers.
In 106 centers, the film ran for 100 DAYS and in 96 centers, the movie ran for 175 DAYS. The film was the first-ever combination of NTR and VV Vinayak and became a powerful blockbuster.
Later, NTR played the lead in Rayalaseema backdrop in 'Aravinda Sametha' movie under the direction of Trivikram Srinivas and became a decent hit at the box office.
Jr NTR fans still consider the project as one of the masterpieces in the career of the actor. Still, Vinayak will be regarded as the successful director because of the film Aadi that he made in the initial days. Aadi has proven a point that Jr NTR can also create super hits and blockbusters. Many thought that the subject would be heavy for Jr NTR then but the actor proved everyone wrong and scored a big hit.
