Jr NTR To Join Hrithik Roshan In War 2

Reports have surfaced that actor Jr NTR will join Hrithik Roshan in the upcoming sequel to the 2019 spy thriller, War. The film will be directed by Ayan Mukerji, who recently directed Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva. Neither the actor nor production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) has confirmed the news. But, sources say that Jr NTR will play the antagonist in the film and will face off against Roshan. The move by YRF is expected to widen the film's appeal, particularly in South India, due to Jr NTR's large fan base.

YRF's spy universe started with Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger in 2012 and continued with its sequel, Tiger Zinda Hai, in 2017. It then expanded with War in 2019, featuring Roshan and Tiger Shroff, and with Shah Rukh Khan's recent release Pathaan. The Tiger series and War 2 will further extend the spy universe. Meanwhile, Jr NTR has begun work on a Telugu project with director Koratala Siva, which was officially launched with a pooja ceremony two weeks ago. The film, dubbed NTR 30, also marks the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor and has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The project is a reunion for Jr NTR and Siva after Janatha Garage, and it is set to be released later this year.
