Jisshu Sengupta Will Not Be A Part ‘Pushpa 2’ Cast

The makers of 'Pushpa: The Rising' approached Jisshu U Sengupta to play the main villain in the Allu Arjun-starrer, but he could not do so due to scheduling conflicts. Earlier this week, it was reported that the dashing actor is set to play the villain in 'Pushpa 2'. Jisshu's fans were ecstatic after hearing the news.

According to a source close to Jisshu, the actor will not be in the film. “All those reports that claimed that Jisshu U Sengupta is playing the villain in the ‘Pushpa’ sequel are baseless. I can confirm that he’s not a part of ‘Pushpa: The Rule’. You can quote me on this,” the actor's manager said to the press.

Despite no confirmation from the production team, director, or actor, the buzz was that Jisshu had already been cast as the antagonist in 'Pushpa 2'. There was speculation that the role was first offered to Vijay Sethupathi, but the popular South actor had to decline due to prior commitments. Then there was widespread speculation that the producers had approached Jisshu about playing the villain. However, we now know that these are just rumors and that the Bengali actor will not be appearing in 'Pushpa: The Rule.'

Interestingly, Jisshu is not in 'Pushpa 2,' but he is in Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan's period drama 'Shaakuntalam,' which is up for release on November 4.
