The incident on which this post is based happened yesterday. The incident took place at the inauguration of the Ernakulam Law College Union. The video was widely circulated on social media. In the video, Aparna could be seen expressing her displeasure and suppressing her anger towards the student who was holding her hand. Vineeth Srinivasan also participated in the function.
Along with the inauguration of the union, Aparna came to the college for the promotion of the movie Thankam. Actor Vineeth Srinivasan, music director Bijipal, and other crew members were with the actress. The student, who came to the stage to give flowers to Aparna, held the actress's hand and lifted her up, trying to put her hand on her shoulder. When the young man is about to put his hand on her shoulder again, Aparna cuts her off and asks, "Why isn't this a law college?" Later, he apologises to Aparna, one of the organizers.
But when he came back to the stage, the student said that he did not do anything else and was trying to take a photo as a fan. In the video, Aparna refuses to shake hands with the young man, who again extends his hand. Then the young man tries to shake Vineet's hand. But Vineet, who did not give a hand, can be seen in the video telling the student to go.
Thankam is a film directed by debutant Saheed Arafat. Biju Menon and Vineeth Srinivasan play the lead roles. The film will hit theatres on January 26. The screenplay is by Shyam Pushkaran. Dileesh Pothan, Fahad Fazil, and Shyam Pushkaran are producing Thankam under the banner of Bhavana Studios.
