Brahmastra Trials Are Something Karan Johar Wants To Do But Star Studios Rejects The Idea

Ranbir Kapoor's career appears to be recovering from its recent bad patch. The first RK release in four years, his Shamshera, failed horribly. Now, all eyes are on Karan Johar's Ayan Mukerji-helmed film Brahmastra, which debuts on September 9. The movie's early reviews are highly positive. Those in the film community who have seen Brahmastra are gushing about it nonstop.

According to a close friend of Karan Johar, "Karan has shown the movie to those whose opinions matter to him. In his circle of friends, Shah Rukh Khan, S. S. Rajamouli, NTR Junior, and Aditya Chopra are among those who have seen the movie. They can't stop gushing over the movie. Of course, Karan is aware that the praise from his fellow members of the entertainment world does not necessarily translate into widespread support for the piece. Toh tabb hogi Asli pareeksha jab junta dekhegi Brahmastra".

It appears that Karan Johar is eager to screen the movie for test audiences. The concept is openly opposed by his co-producers and distributors, Star Studios and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

"Karan wants to screen the movie for viewers outside the industry after getting burned on Liger. He has come to the realization that the film community will not be honest about the caliber of movies. Regarding Brahmastra, Karan Johar is incredibly confident. According to a source close to Karan, he wants to organize pre-release "trial" screenings for carefully selected people who can provide workable suggestions to improve the movie even at this late stage, two weeks before its release.
