Anurag Kashyap Says His Daughter Aaliyah ‘Doesn't Give A Sh*T’ About Her Father's Struggles

In an interview, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap discussed fatherhood. He claimed to have discovered from her daughter Aaliyah Kashyap how very dissimilar her experiences were from his. It’s your guilt that your parents spent beyond their means on your education, but you wanted to become a filmmaker and prove something. You didn’t have to borrow money to provide for me. You had the money to pay for my education. My struggle is with myself. It’s so hard just to be me.” Additionally, Anurag claimed that his daughter has no issues with the fact that she makes a living via YouTube. She informed him, “Main jaise bhi kama rahi hoon, kama rahi hoon na? Rent khud de rahi hoon. Aapko kya problem hai" (In whatever capacity, I am earning but I am earning on my own, I am giving my rent from my earned money, what is your problem, then)?" The ex-wife of Anurag, Aarti Bajaj, gave birth to Aaliyah. She moved to a new home in Mumbai in 2022. She frequently posts videos and pictures on social media with her Italian lover Shane Gregoire. She notified her fans in 2021 that she would no longer be attending Chapman University in California, where she had previously been enrolled. Aaliyah also mentioned that she wants to work in the fashion industry. Anurag's upcoming project, Almost Pyaar, is a collaboration with DJ Mohabbat and stars Vicky Kaushal, Alaya F, and Karan Mehta.
