Filming of Akshay Kumar starrer Soorarai Pottru Hindi remake is in progress. Some videos and pictures from the shoot are now going viral on Twitter. Sudha Kongara is also directing the Hindi remake. The film is being produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment and Abundance Entertainment.
Soorarai Pottru is a film based on the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath. The story will be set in a Hindi remake set in a North Indian setting.
Radhika Madan is the heroine in the film. Suriya's heroine was Aparna Balamurali in Tamil. GV Prakash is the music director.
Soorarai Pottru (English: Praise the Brave) is a Tamil-language drama film directed by Sudha Kongara. Suriya and Guneet Monga produced the film. This was under their respective banners 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment. Kongara was the one who came up with the idea and wrote the story. Kongara and Shalini Ushadevi wrote the screenplay.
Aalif Surti and Ganesha composed a supplementary screenplay. Suriya, Aparna Balamurali, and Paresh Rawal star in the film. The film also features Mohan Babu, Urvashi, and Karunas in supporting roles.
Simplifly Deccan founder G. R. Gopinath's memoir Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey inspired the film.
