Akshay Kumar, who most recently appeared in Ram Setu alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushratt Bharuccha, recently took a plane to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to attend the Red Sea Film Festival. Along with him, other famous people were spotted making their presence known, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Saif Ali Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan. Akshay interacted with the media while attending the Film Festival. He disclosed that he is making a movie about sex education during the conversations.
Akshay has previously made socially conscious movies like PadMan and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The crowd ultimately responded well to both movies. He is now prepared to research a new subject and produce a movie about sex education. When discussing it, he referred to it as an "important subject." At the Film Festival, Akshay reportedly informed the journalists, "I’m making a movie on sex education. It’s a very important subject. In a lot of places, it is not there. We have all kinds of subjects we learn in school but sex is one education I’d like all the schools in the world to have it because it is important."
The film's title remained a secret by Akshay. He stated that he enjoys making these types of movies. "It’s going to take time to release. April or May I will be releasing that movie. It’s one of the best films I have made. I like doing these kinds of movies, social stuff. These kinds of films are not that big a commercial success but surely give me satisfaction", the actor said.
Akki posted a video from Jeddah earlier today on Instagram. In the video, his ardent follower was seen acting as Raju from Hera Pheri. The gracious greeting left him speechless. Akshay posted the clip on his account and said, "Haha…for the most lovable of reasons, my fans’ Hera Pheri simply rocks my life. Thank you, Red Sea International Film Festival and everyone in Jeddah for a memorable time. Love and prayers to you all."
