Akshay Kumar's movie Samrat Prithviraj gets tax exemption in Madhya Pradesh. On Thursday, the Madhya Pradesh state government decided not to tax the film. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced on Twitter.
“The Madhya Pradesh government has exempted Akshay Kumar starrer, which tells the story of heroic warrior Samrat Prithviraj. The decision was taken to allow more youth to watch movies and learn about their homeland;” the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister tweeted.
Yesterday, Yogi Adityanath also announced no tax on the film in Uttar Pradesh. After watching the film, Adityanath congratulated the cast and crew of the film. Earlier, Akshay Kumar had arranged a special screening of the film for Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The movie was released on June 3. Chandraprakash Dwivedi directs the film Samrat Prithviraj'. 'Samrat Prithviraj' revolves around the life of legendary warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan.
Akshay Kumar plays the role of Prithviraj Chauhan in the film. Samrat Prithviraj is also Manushi Chillar's first film. Manushi plays Prithviraj Chauhan's wife in the film.
Earlier, the title of the film had changed. The film titled 'Prithviraj' had changed. The film was then titled 'Samrat Prithviraj.' A letter issued by Yash Raj Films confirmed the news. This is after Shree Rajput Karni Sena filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against the title of the film.
