A lyrical video of a song depicting the childhood of 'Aditya Karikalan' and 'Nandini' has been released. Ilango Krishnan's lyrics are sung by Haricharan for the film. A song sung by Shaktishri Gopalan for the film was released earlier and was a hit. A song called Veera Raja Veera, was sung by KS Chitra, Shankar Mahadevan, and Harini. Another song Shivoham was sung by Sathyaprakash, Dr. Narayanan, Srikanth Hariharan, Nivas, Arvind Srinivas, Shenbagaraj, and TS Ayyappan.
Jayam Ravi, Jayaram, Karthi, Rahman, Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Lal, Vikram Prabhu, Parthipan, Babu Antony, Ashwin Kakumanu, Riyaz Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sobhita Dulipala, Jayachitra, and other actors in 'Ponniyin Selvan. It was reported that the streaming rights to the film were sold for Rs. 125 crore. Amazon Prime Video owns the streaming rights to the film. Apart from Tamil, the film was also released in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
