Thunivu Box Office Receipts: Ajith Kumar Starrer Surpasses Rs. 100 Crores In India

As it surpassed the Rs. 100 crore mark on its seventh day of release, Thunivu enjoyed a fantastic Tuesday at the Indian box office. Tuesday's box office receipts for the Ajith Kumar-starring film came to over Rs. 13 crores, bringing the total to about Rs. 105 crores. With the movie earning more than Rs. 12 crores in the state yesterday, Tamil Nadu is now responsible for nearly all of the movie's collection. In Tamil Nadu, the sum for the week is roughly Rs. 87 crores.

Ajith's seven-day earnings are the biggest ever despite the significant competition from Varisu. They surpass Valimai, which had a solo release and a significant Rs. 7 crores first-day lead. The movie will easily surpass the Rs. 100 crore mark in Tamil Nadu and might even surpass Ajith's previous high-grossing picture in this state. That will depend on how it stands up following the state's upcoming Christmas season.

Outside of Tamil Nadu, the movie performed well in Karnataka, earning Rs. 9 crores in just seven days, effectively competing against Varisu. Within a few days, Thunivu will surpass Viswasam as Ajith's highest-grossing film in the state. Kerala's box office performance is weak but is an improvement over Ajith's recent underwhelming films. In other places, the movie lost viewers after the first day, which was a very weak day.

Even though Thunivu won't defeat Vijay's film Varisu, which will be the focus of the headlines, the movie has done exceptionally well on its own. The movie will be Ajith's top grosser outside of Tamil Nadu, especially overseas where it has given him career-best numbers in most regions. Due to the minimal costs involved, the movie will even provide fair returns to its investors.
