Here is the list of new films and web series’ arriving in theatres and on OTT between 3rd October and 9th October. The list includes big ticket films like Chiranjeevi-starrer GodFather, Amitabh Bachchan’s Goodbye and Nagarjuna’s The Ghost.
GodFather
The Telugu remake of Lucifer - GodFather, featuring Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan in the central roles is up for theatrical release on the 5th of October. The film is getting a pan-India release and it is expected to get off to a good start at the box office.
Ghost
This action thriller has Nagarjuna Akkineni in the central role and it is directed by Praveen Sattaru. The film is up for theatrical release on the 5th of October. Nag plays a special agent in the film.
Goodbye
This Hindi language drama has Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles and it is slated for theatrical release on the 7th of October. The film is directed by Vikas Bahi of Queen fame. It is billed to be a blend of comedy and drama.
Saturday Night
The Malayalam language comedy drama has Nivin Pauly in the lead role. The film is directed by Rosshan Andrrews. Aju Varghese plays another important role. The film revolves around a group of friends who get caught in an eventful night.
Eesho
Eesho has Jayasurya, Jaffer Idukki, and Namitha Pramod in the lead roles. It will stream on Sony Liv from the 5th of October. It is billed to be a dark themed thriller.
Kathikeya 2
Karthikeya 2 is a mythological action thriller directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The film features Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupama Parameswaran. It grossed over Rs 100 crores at the box office. There’s a fair bit of noise surrounding its OTT debut now.
Rakshi Bandhan
This film is an intense drama and it features Akshay Kumar. The film turned out to be a dud at the box office. Can it do any better on OTT? We have to wait and see after the film debuts on ZEE5 on the 5th of October.
Prey
Prey is a mystery action thriller with a whodunnit themed narrative. The film fared pretty well at the box office. It will be made available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from the 7th of October.
