Delhi's Liquor Policy: ED Conducts Raids In 35 Places.

Delhi: ED is conducting raids in 35 places, including Delhi, in the case related to Delhi's liquor policy. The investigation is going on in Delhi, Punjab, and Hyderabad. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has criticised the action of ED. 500 checks were conducted in hundreds of places in 3 months, and nothing was found against Manish Sisodia. Delhi's Chief Minister asked how a country like this can progress.

Vijay Nair, a Malayali who was arrested in the liquor policy case, was released from CBI custody after five days. The CBI produced the accused in Delhi's Rose Avenue Court. The CBI informed the court that all the information on Vijay Nair's mobile phone has been deleted. They added that the accused is not cooperating with the interrogation. The CBI demanded 7 days in custody for questioning. Vijay Nair is the fifth accused in the liquor case.

Meanwhile, Congress leader DK Shivakumar is present at the Delhi ED office. The action is in the case of the illegal acquisition of property. The action comes as the Bharat Jodo Yatra is progressing in Karnataka. Shivakumar said that he obeys the law; that's why he appeared. DK asked for more time to appear, but the ED did not allow him. The questioning is in the National Herald case. The ED discovered that he had donated lakhs to the Young India Trust.
