“It is decided to introduce night curfew in the state for the period from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM next day till 30th April 2021 as a further measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19,” read the order issued by the government of Telangana.
Movement of all persons barring frontline workers, and essential service providers shall be strictly prohibited from 9:00 PM and those found guilty of breaking the rules will have to face legal consequences.
The government of Karnataka had already imposed a night curfew in the state and the Telangana government has taken a similar decision now.
It is known that the chief minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao has been tested positive for Covid yesterday. He is currently being treated at his farmhouse in Gajwel.
Coming back to the imposition of night curfew in Telangana, it is said that movie theatres shall also close operations post 8 PM till 1st May. There is no affirmative update though.
