Yuvan Shankar Raja Is Honoured With A Doctorate From This University
Yuvan Shankar Raja is known for his contributions in music, mostly in Tamil cinema and his father is Ilayaraja who is the legendary music composer of kollywood.
Today, September 3, the musician Yuvan Shankar Raja will receive an honorary doctorate. The composer will receive recognition from Chennai's Sathyabama University for his 25-year contribution to Tamil cinema.
The university released a statement saying, “An Honorary Doctorate will also be presented to Mr. Yuvan Shankar Raja working as music composer at the age of 16 and composed music for more than 150 films within a span of two and half decades in various languages.”
Yuvan Shankar Raja recently celebrated 25 years in the film industry, during which time he composed music for 160 films in Tamil and Telugu and performed well-known songs in Tamil. On August 31, he also had his birthday.
Yuvan Shankar Raja held an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session with his fans on Twitter to celebrate his birthday. In response to a question from a media outlet about whether he would ever be interested in a biopic, the composer said that there is currently no such idea and that if there were, he would act in it.
On September 2, Yuvan Shankar Raja also attended the audio premiere of "Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu," where he praised Simbu. Yuvan also mentioned that he has always been inspired by artist AR Rahman, who was in attendance at the occasion and stated that he is a huge fan of his.
