Yuvan Shankar Raja is one promising music directors in the country. Recently, he tasted success with Top Tucker which features himself, Baadshah, and Rashmika Mandanna. Yuvan Shankar Raja converted to Islam a few years ago and has been open about his faith. Recently, he took to Instagram to post a quote from the Holy Quran. Immediately, netizens pounced on him asking if he's promoting Islam through his page. They also opined that they are following him for his music and not for his preachy quotes from Islam. Replying to one of his fans, Yuvan Shankar Rajja wrote, " o! you don't need to follow."

In another comment, Yuvan wrote, "Let me explain this to you. I’m an Indian. I’m Tamilian. I’m a Muslim. If you think Muslims exist only in Arabia, then that shows your ignorance, my brother. Faith and Race are two different things. Race and language are two different things. Nationality and religion are two different things. Belief is what is within. If you can’t understand this simple logic. What else would you understand? I have taken my time to explain this to you, my fellow Indian brother, because you should cut the crap.
