According to recent rumours, Mohanlal would collaborate on a Malayalam movie with the Kumbalangi Nights team. The highly acclaimed film's writer and director, Syam Pushkaran and Madhu C Narayanan, reportedly approached the actor to take the lead part in their upcoming project. The tale premise reportedly really intrigued Mohanlal, who has already approved the project. The rumour mill also says that the writer-director team and National Award-winning actor may launch the project soon.
Kumbalangi Nights, directed by Madhu C Narayanan, is unquestionably one of the most beloved Malayalam films of recent times. The movie's story, script, and dialogue were written by Syam Pushkaran. Fahadh Faasil, Soubin Shahir, Anna Ben, Shane Nigam, Grace Antony, Sreenath Bhasi, and other A-list actors were among the cast members. Mohanlal announced his first collaboration with famous filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery via social media. The actor-director combination is working on an action drama that will start shooting soon. According to rumours, Mohanlal will portray the wrestler Chembothu Simon in the movie, which would be extensively shot in places throughout Kerala, Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh. Mohanlal will join the production of L2 Empuraan, the Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer that is a follow-up to their 2019 hit Lucifer, after finishing the untitled movie.
