Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra will release on September 30 in multiple languages. Directed by Ayan Mukerjee, the fantasy film also has Nagarjuna in an important role. On August 24, Ranbir Kapoor, Nagarjuna and SS Rajmouli arrived in Chennai to promote the film. SS Rajamouli is presenting the film in the South.
SS Rajamouli addressed the gathering and said, "Brahmastra is a product of years of hard work. We have heard about astras in our puranas. We will now see them in a different dimension in this film. Ayan created a hero with struggles and limited powers, and a stronger villain. The film teaches us that love will win over everything."
Speaking about his role and his Chennai connection, Nagarjuna said, "It is always a pleasure to be back in Chennai, a place where I started my career. Geetanjali, one of my iconic films, was helmed by director Mani Ratnam. In Brahmastra, I play an artist with the power of Nandiastra. I have always loved mythological stories as my father and several other stars have done brilliant work in the genre. I believe that Brahamstra will be a landmark one."
