'Cobra,' starring Chiyaan Vikram, is due to be released on August 31, and it will be the actor's most significant release to date. As a result, Vikram has opted to promote the film heavily, and his domestic tour began yesterday. Vikram and 'Cobra' actresses Srinidhi Shetty, Mirnalini Ravi, and Meenakshi visited a college in Trichy yesterday to promote the film. Fans flocked to meet the stars of 'Cobra' and were greeted warmly. However, because of the rush, numerous spectators were hurt.

Chiyaan Vikram apologized to his followers on Twitter, writing, "My heart is full of gratitude to my fans who came to Trichy today for the Cobra movie preview event and showered me with love beyond words. Meanwhile, it has come to my notice that some undesirable situation has arisen, and I would like to record my regret for such occurrence and inconvenience. What penance have I done to get here."

Vikram was warm and cheerful throughout his interactions with fans in Trichy and Madurai yesterday, and supporters in both towns gave him a warm welcome. Vikram will meet fans in Coimbatore today, and the actor will next travel to Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad in the days leading up to the film's premiere.
