Famous producer Dil Raju has revealed that the Varisu script was first written with actor Mahesh Babu in mind. On January 12, 2023, during Pongal, Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Varisu will the screens.
Dil Raju admitted to a Telugu news channel that Thalapathy Vijay wasn't the director's first choice for his film Vamshi Paidipally. The Varisu script, according to Dil Raju, was first written with actor Mahesh Babu in mind. The movie was then presented to Ram Charan, the star of RRR. But the Spyder actor already had his hands full with other professional obligations. It turned out that the Mega Power Star was having trouble locating dates to perform Varisu. After then, Allu Arjun and Prabhas, who were busy with other films, were also given the movie. Thalapathy Vijay was finally chosen to be the project's star.
According to the rumors, Varisu would tell the story of a corporate mogul and his successor who takes over the company in an adverse situation. Along with Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, the movie also stars R Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, and Jayasudha. Khushboo, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu, and Sangeetha Krish also feature significant parts. The film's songs and background music are composed by renowned musician S Thaman. Dil Raju is producing the film under the illustrious label of Sri Venkateswara Creations. Karthik Palani is the drama's cinematographer. Praveen K. L is the editor.
