The prestigious Padma Awards got announced the other day by the Government of India. Among the Bollywood celebrities, Kangana Ranaut, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, and Adnan Sami got selected for the Padma Shri Award, which is the fourth highest civilian honor in our country. Karan is extremely happy about this honor and he took on social media to express his gratitude to the Indian government.
He tweeted, "It’s not very often that I’m at a loss for words, but this is one such occasion. The Padma Shri... such an honour to receive one of the highest civilian awards in the country. Overwhelmed by so many emotions right now. Humbled, elated and also thankful for the opportunity to live my dream every day, to create and to entertain. I know my father would be proud and I wish he was here to share this moment with me."
Replying to Karan's tweet, Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda commented, "Congratulations Karannnnn :D This year is going to be epic! But what a start."
We all know that both Karan and Vijay are very good friends. Karan is co-producing Vijay's upcoming film Fighter which is being directed by Puri Jagannadh. The shoot of this film went on floors just a few days back in Mumbai.
