Tollywood Young Sensation Vijay Deverakonda whose previous outing 'Dear Comrade' became a disaster at the box office recently came up with another romantic entertainer titled 'World Famous Lover'. The film released recently amidst a huge buzz but the movie also ended as a big disappointment at the box-office. Vijay Devarakonda's career is not having a dream run right now and he might have to introspect his choices to come up with hit subjects.
Kranthi Madhav helmed this project. Rashi Khanna, Aishwarya Rajesh, Catherine Tresa, and Isabelle Leite played the leading ladies of the film. Amid high expectations, the movie finally got released on Valentines' Day this year on February 14th, 2020. But, the film opened with mixed responses from the audience. KA Vallabha and KS Rama Rao under Creative Commercials banner bankrolled this film which utterly failed to live up to the expectations.
The film finally ended up as a disaster. More than half of the distributors only in AP are going to face huge losses. The collections fell flat from 4th day itself and came out as a rude shock to the trade circles as well.
Let us hope that Vijay does not repeat the same mistakes again, for his next films.
