Many celebrities have come to raise awareness about the coronavirus.
Vidya Balan has come out to raise awareness about wearing and making homemade masks. Viral Bhayani shared the video wherein Balan talks about the homemade masks.
Viral Bhayani posted the video with the caption, " @vidyabalan has this amazing idea for making masks at home especially when we step out of our house. Given the COVID situation, it’s important that we don't hoard on surgical masks and leave them for our healthcare workers. We can all have these masks made at home .. do come forward and support the initiative #apnadeshapnamask @apnamask @startupvscovid."
In the video, Balan says that there is a shortage of masks, not only in India but everywhere around the globe. So she says that making masks at home might be very helpful in tacking coronavirus. Balan says we can make masks at home with just a cloth and a few rubber bands. She then goes on to demonstrate how to make a mask. She takes the views through the process, step by step. Bala ends the video with the slogan, "Apna Desh, Apna Mask."
On the work front, Vidya Balan is looking forward to the release of her film Shakuntala Devi. In the film, Balan takes on the role of Shakuntala Devi. Shakuntala Devi was a popular figure who was known as the "human computer.," as she could compute large mathematical problems mentally. Apart from Balan, the film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Jisshu Sengupta and Amit Sadh. Anu Menon has directed the film. Vikram Malhotra has produced the film. The film will hit the theatres on 8th May 2020 if the coronavirus outbreak subsides.
