The director has been working on several components of his upcoming picture for a few months, and according to what we've heard, things are now moving forward. According to the sources, Vicky Kaushal will play the protagonist character in Aanand L Rai's upcoming film, which is a love story.

After Atrangi Re and Raksha Bandhan, Aanand L Rai is looking to make a pure love story from the heartland of India. Aanand L Rai is currently working on the movie's casting when the script is locked, and shortly after that, he departs on a location scout. He wants to start shooting the movie in the middle of 2023. "We're looking for the female lead, t his movie has a strong female counterpart with substance, much like all of his prior ones. Both of the film's principal characters will be cast in a fortnight", says the source.
Vicky is now in production on the Sam Manekshaw biography directed by Meghna Gulzar.
