Vetri Maaran's film with Vijay Sethupathi and Soori gets a title

Director Vetri Maaran's last film was Asuran with his frequent collaborator, Dhanush. The film also received two National Awards and critical acclaim from the critics and audience alike. Now, Vetri Maaran is busy with the shooting of his upcoming film featuring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi. The film has now got a title, which is Viduthalai. In English, Vduthalai means freedom. On April 22, the makers of Viduthalai unveiled the first-look posters featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Soori. While Soori plays a police officer, Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as a mentor in the film.

The shooting of his film Viduthalai is currently in progress. According to the press release, the film was shot in the dense forests of Sathyamangalam, Tamil Nadu. Vijay Sethupathi shared the first look posters and wrote, "Here it is @VetriMaaran's Viduthalai first look posters (sic)." The film has music scored by Isaignanai Ilaiyaraaja. The technical crew of Viduthalai includes cinematographer Velraj, editor Ramar, action director Peter Hein and art director, Jacki. Producer Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment is planning to release Viduthalai in Tamil and other languages.
