After the pandemic, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan made a comeback to the big screen with Jugjugg Jeeyo, which was released in June 2022. It did well at the box office. The Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor magical entertainer has already achieved excellent box office receipts with the debut of another Dharma Productions movie, Brahmastra. Beyond that, though, a movie that took seven years to develop has received a tonne of support from the business. Varun Dhawan claims to have seen the movie in theatres.
In an interview, Varun Dhawan acknowledged that it is a perfect time to return to the movies. “I saw Brahmastra when it was released on the first day. I think it is a big-screen watch. I had a great time watching it – just with the audience and the energy you feel is great. It was good just doing that”, he said.
He added, “I, in fact, saw Laal Singh Chaddha in theatres. I have seen a couple of films like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and Sooryavanshi".
When asked if he wears masks to see movies in peace, he replied, "I wear a mask and go because I want to watch the film. I want to enjoy it.
Varun Dhawan will next appear opposite Kriti Sanon in the monster comedy Bhediya. The release date of the trailer is October 19, 2022. The movie, which was directed by Amar Kaushik and stars Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Deepak Dobriyal, and Abhishek Banerjee among others, will be released in theatres on November 25, 2022.
In addition, Varun Dhawan will star in the Hindi-language Prime Video adaptation of the upcoming Russo Brothers film Citadel. Varun will appear alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the Hindi adaptation, whereas the original starred Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK will direct it.
