The short film titled Dark Spread aims to celebrate and thank the frontliners who have helped fight the crisis. It aims to thank the medical communities and everyone who has worked day and night to battle coronavirus. Vangmi R Yajurvedi is the filmmaker behind the short film. VRY Entertainment is producing the film in association CSJ Arts. The film is now available on the VRY Entertainment channel. Vangmi R Yajurvedi has made several short films before. In this film, Dr. Bat and Chinese Joker are the two main characters. Vangmi R Yajurvedi will try to showcase the current COVID-19 situation with the help of these two characters.
 
The short film will be an action filled narrative. It is a tribute to the doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals who have been on the front lines battling the coronavirus. The filmmakers say that the film will be a token of appreciation to all those battling the virus.
 
Chinthan is the film's writer. In addition to coming with the concept for the film. Vangami is talking on several other responsibilities as well. He is the film's director cinematographer and editor. He is also is playing the lead role. Vanishree C is the film's executive producer and is also responsible for makeup and costume design.
 
Vangmi R Yajurvedi is the son of Raghunath, the producer who co-produced the hit film Hebbuli with Umapthy S Gowda.
