Thala Ajith was shooting for his upcoming film Valimai right before the coronavirus outbreak. The film now stands postponed. The Valimai team are now trying to decide when to resume shooting. The latest report on the film is the film might hit theatres in 2021.
Valimai is a cop drama. Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor is producing the film. Previously, the film was to hit the theatres in November 2020 on the occasion of Diwali. The film will now make have a theatrical release next year owing to the COVID-10 crisis. The team now wishes to release the film on the occasion of Pongal in January 2020. However, the confirmation regarding the release date is yet to arrive.
If the rumours are true, the actor Ajith will not have any releases this year. His last Pongal release Viswasam was a mega-hit. We can expect the same for Valimai.
According to an earlier report, the films shoot for Valimai were to take place in Spain and Morocco. This too now stands cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Rumour has it that actresses Yami Gautham and Huma Qureshi will appear as female leads. It is also rumoured that Ileana D'cruz, will be making a special appearance in the movie. Confirmation is yet to arrive.
Valimai is being directed by H Vinoth. Valimai is Thala Ajith's second collaboration with producer Boney Kapoor. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the film's score.
