Kamal Haasan express his opinions strongly, which cause a lot of controversies and made him a controversial activist at the same time. His fans & followers celebrated 6 Million followers mark on his Twitter official handle. A hashtag trend was running up all day long, while another controversy stirred up.
Kamal came under fire for his comments about devotional composer Thyagaraj. Many several Carnatic musicians are showering anger on him. In a recent live interaction session, he commented that "Thyagaraj was "begging praise of Lord Rama". All the Carnatic music societies and traditional establishments have severely criticized and condemned these comments. They also demanded an apology from the actor. A petition was also filed demanding an apology too. Kamal Haasan is angry with the behaviour of the Tamil Nadu state government, which has loosened up the lock down restrictions.
Kamal has joined hands with Shankar to make the sequel of their previous collaboration 'Indian', titled 'Indian -2'. Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth Suryanarayan, Rakul Preet Singh and Priya Bhavani Shankar are in the cast. Anirudh Ravichander joins Kamal for the first time. The shooting which was abrupted by the accident will start after the lockdown lift. But then, there are rumours that the film might not happen anytime soon. As of now, there is no clarity.
