Tom Hanks shares an update about Coronavirus diagnosis on social media

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson shared an update from Australia after keeping in isolation. Hanks posted a picture with his wife thanking people in Australia for their help. His caption read. "Hello, folks. Rita Wilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us. We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else.”

He added. "There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?"

The news came a day earlier when Tom Hanks posted that the couple had tested positive after exhibiting symptoms like tiredness, body aches, chills, and slight fevers.

"Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?" he wrote in the earlier post.

The couple are under watch at the Gold Coast University Hospital in Australia.

Reports state that the actor was in Australia working on a film about Elvis Presley. Hanks is set to play Presley's manager, Colonel Tom Parker, in the film. Actor Austin Butler essays the role of Presley. Meanwhile, Hanks’ son Chet Haze also took to social media to give fans updates about his parents. He said that his parents are “not worried” about the diagnosis. On his Instagram, Haze recorded himself and assured fans of his parents’ well-being.

He said. “It’s true, my parents got coronavirus. Crazy.” He continued. “They’re both down in Australia right now, cos my dad was shooting a movie down there. I just got off the phone with them [and] they both are fine.”
