National award winning film director Nagesh Kukunoor interacted with the media in Hyderabad on his first Telugu movie with Keerthy Suresh playing the lead
Even though he is born and brought up in Hyderabad, director Nagesh Kukunoor has never made a Telugu film in his two-decade-long career. But he is an acclaimed filmmaker who made award-winning films like Hyderabad Blues, Iqbal, and Dhanak. after such a long time, he is now coming up with his debut Telugu film which is a sports-based romantic comedy.
The makers have fixed the title of this film as Good Luck Sakhi. It stars Keerthy Suresh, Aadhi Pinishetty and Jagapathi Babu in the main roles. The film showcases the journey of a lady shooter who comes from a rural background. Keerthy is playing the role of the shooter, Aadhi is playing the role of a stage actor and Jagapathi Babu is acting as the coach.
The only Telugu film Nagesh has watched in the recent past is Mahanati and he is now elated to work with Keerthy Suresh. The director praised Keerthy as one of the most humble actresses. Good Luck Sakhi will hit the screens in early 2020. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for it.
