On the career front, Kriti was last seen in the movie Panipat. Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, this film featured Arjun Kapoor as the lead hero. This period drama remained as an average grosser at the box office. Despite its box office performance, Kriti said that she is happy being a part of that film. Currently, she is working on the movie Mimi. This film is being directed by Laxman Utekar. The film deals with the concept of surrogacy. Kriti is playing the role of a mother in this movie. Mimi is an official remake of the 2011 Marathi film Mala Aai Vhhaychy!. Pankaj Tripathi is playing another key role in this movie.
