On August 18, Thiruchitrambalam, starring Dhanush, was released in theatres to high anticipation. The movie exceeded everyone's expectations and did remarkably well at the box office. Thiruchitrambalam has been doing exceptionally well at the box office, both domestically and abroad. Ramesh Bala, a trade analyst, noted that the movie is Dhanush's top earner in France and the UK. More records are likely to be broken soon by Thiruchitrambalam. Thiruchitrambalam made Rs 39 crore in Tamil Nadu up till Sunday. Manobala, a trade analyst, predicted that the movie would soon surpass the Rs 50-crore mark. Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Raashi Khanna, and Priya Bhavani Shankar were all featured in supporting parts alongside Dhanush and Nithya Menen in the key roles.
