The movie stars Daniel Craig in the lead for his last appearance playing the role of the iconic spy. This movie is his appearance for the fifth time as the legendary MI6 agent. He was first seen portraying the role in 2006 with the movie Casino Royale. The release date for the movie was previously scheduled in the April of 2020 release post its world premiere at Royal Albert Hall in London. The movie's new release dates are reportedly scheduled for release in the U.K. on 12th November and the U.S. on 25th November.
The filmmakers of the movie released an official statement saying "MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, announced today that after careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace, the release of No Time To Die will be reportedly postponed until November 2020. With the Coronavirus reaching pandemic status, it is time to put public health above marketing release schedules and the cost of canceling publicity events," the founders of fan sites MI6-HQ and The James Bond Dossier wrote in an open letter. "Just one person, who may not even show symptoms, could infect the rest of the audience." The letter stated, "It's just a movie. The health and well-being of fans around the world, and their families, is more important."
The release of the movie is being postponed in response to more than 93,000 cases of the coronavirus disease, COVID-19, recorded worldwide with more than 3,200 people who have succumbed to it since the virus emerged at the end of last year. Bond movies focus on international markets for most of their box office profits and "No Time to Die" is the first movie of the series to postpone its global release. With the theaters closing as a result of the virus all over the world, it has affected the entertainment world greatly as the Chinese premiere dates and press tours for various movies, including "Mulan" and "Sonic the Hedgehog," have reportedly postponed their dates and several projects have stopped their production for the time being.

This is an estimate of the loss and it is also speculated that the number may even inch closer to around $50 million. The movie had an estimated production budget of almost $250 million. The film might lose some of its overseas profits due to the coronavirus outbreak.
