The shoot of Nawazuddin Siddique's upcoming film gets canceled in Lucknow due to coronavirus pandemic
Nawazuddin Siddique is currently happy with the progress of his next film's shoot but he can't do anything about the cancellation of the shoot that came as a surprise to him as well.
The coronavirus pandemic is severely affecting the film industry. It is being reported that the industry is witnessing a loss of more than Rs. 1500 crores due to the shutdown. All the film releases got stalled, theatres got closed and shoots got canceled. Amidst this scary situation, the makers of Nawazuddin Siddique's upcoming film though of shooting it in Lucknow. But their plans got spoiled within a day as the authorities have asked them to stop the shooting and sent the team back to Mumbai.
Nawazuddin is currently acting in an untitled project which is being directed by Kushan Nandy. The Raman Raghav actor reached Lucknow on Saturday evening to shoot the film. The team shot a few scenes in Malihabad on Sunday. They planned to shoot the film in Lucknow on Monday. But the authorities have denied them permission due to the coronavirus pandemic. Having left with no choice, the team has returned to Bombay last night.
This film features Nushrat Bharucha, Mimoh Chakraborty, Sanjay Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, and others. A source close to the team informed that the makers started shooting the film in Lucknow. But after realizing the intensity of the current scenario, they decided to back off. They didn't want to put any of the cast and crew's health in risk. Thus, they came back to Mumbai. The team will resume the shooting in Lucknow once things get settled down.
Nawazuddin Siddique was last seen in the film Motichoor Chaknachoor which was a flop at the box office.
