The pan-Indian movie's official release date was revealed by Upendra on Twitter while also sharing a brand-new poster. Kabzaa will be premiered in theatres on March 17, 2023, the birthday of Puneeth Rajkumar. It is unknown if the date was chosen to honour Puneeth's memory or if it was really a coincidence. However, after the precedents created by the Kannada films KGF: Chapter 2, Charlie 777, and Kantara, the movie is anticipated to receive a considerable market.

The R Chandru-directed movie is placed during the 1980s. The story of Kabzaa centers on the life of the South Indian underworld don Bhargav. The late 1940s until the 1980s serve as the setting for the movie. The female protagonist is Shriya Saran. The historical drama's teaser indicated that it follows the rise of crime in India from the 1940s to the 1980s.
The release of Kabzaa will be nationwide in India, and audiences can't wait to see what's in store for them. The production is funded by filmmaker R Chandru through Sri Siddheshwara Enterprises. It is presented by MTB Nagaraj. In supporting parts for the upcoming movie, Kabir Duhan Singh, Kota Srinivas, Kamraj, Jagapathi Babu, and Danish Akhtar Saifi were also cast.
