The Release Date For Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam Gets Announced; Mammootty To Yet Again Work With Lijo Jose Pellissery

With some daring film choices, Mammootty, the megastar of Malayalam cinema, is once more rediscovering himself as an actor. For his upcoming film Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, the renowned director Lijo Jose Pellissery is teaming up with the seasoned actor. The film, which is billed as a humorous fantasy drama, has drawn notice thanks to its original teasers and marketing. The International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), which is scheduled to host Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam's global premiere this year, has now received its release date.

The most recent information indicates that Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam will open in theatres on December 16 of this year. The eagerly awaited film will have its world premiere at IFFK 2022, which will start on December 9, this year, before it hits theatres. If the rumours are accurate, the producers intend to formally announce the release date of Mammootty and Lijo Jose Pellissery's movie in a few days along with a significant update. Lijo Jose Pellissery had plans to work with Mammootty again after Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam for an upcoming Netflix anthology series that has yet to be named and is based on the short stories of renowned author MT Vasudevan Nair. Due to his busy schedule, the filmmaker ultimately decided against directing the episode of the series titled Kadugannawa Oru Yathra. He was replaced as the segment's director by veteran filmmaker Ranjith Balakrishnan, reuniting the two of them after a lengthy separation. However, current sources indicate that Mammootty and Lijo Jose Pellissery intend to collaborate once again the following year. After filmmaker Lijo completes his upcoming film, which stars Mohanlal in the lead role, the untitled Mammootty-backed production will get underway. However, soon after Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam's premiere, the actor-director team might formally announce the project.
