The Phrase Samman Ka Mool, Apmaan Ka Bhay, Is What Mouni Roy Clings On To

Mouni Roy is a highly popular actress on Indian television. She made her acting debut in the hit soap opera "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi," playing Krishnatulsi. In the course of her television career, she has portrayed a number of legendary characters, including Shivanya and Shivangi from Naagin, and Shivani Sabbarwal in Kasturi. She has received appreciation for landing her major break in Bollywood with the currently successful in theaters film Brahmastra by Ayan Mukerji.

Mouni Roy, when interviewed about her reaction to Brahmastra's box office result, acknowledged getting the collections every day with great joy. She continued, "I am very new to all this although I have been in this industry for 16 years. As actors, we can only give 100 percent to the shoot and do our parts well and there's nothing more in our hands. Sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't. There's a saying, 'Samman ka mool, apmaan ka bhay', so I strictly believe in that. So when it works, you feel happy but when it doesn't, you don't feel so sad that you are depressed." The proverb "Samman ka mool, apmaan ka bhay" says that one should not let success or failure come in the way of continuing to strive hard.

Mouni, who has received praise for her performance in Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva, will also appear in the next two films of the trilogy. The Part 1 is doing well at the box office and has surpassed the Rs. 150 crore nett and Rs. 250 crore gross marks globally. Part 2 of Brahmastra, which Ayan Mukerji plans to release in late 2025, will pick up where Part 1 left off. The director has indicated that the screenplay for the movie would be back and forth.
