Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister J Chinchurani came to see Basil Joseph's Paltu Janvar. The film is set in the background of a veterinary hospital in a village called Kudiyanmala. The minister said that she liked the movie and that it is a must-watch movie for all veterinary doctors and live stock inspectors in Kerala. The minister said that the character of David, played by Johnny Antony in the film, takes care of the sick cow in his house just like we take care of our children at home when they are sick. The minister added that the character of David touched the heart.

It also stars Johnny Antony, Dileesh Pothan, Shammi Thilakan, Indrans, Shruti Suresh, Jaya Kurup, Athira Harikumar, Thangam Mohan, Steffy Sunny, Vijay Kumar, Kiran Peethambaran, Sibi Thomas, Joji John, and Unnimaya Prasaj. He is appearing in the film as the main character.
