Siddique is an actor who shines equally in all roles in Malayalam cinema. During an interview given to Ginger Media as part of the promotion of Siddique's latest film, Peace, the words he spoke about his favorite character are gaining attention.
Siddique says that Mullan Chandrapan in Chotta Mumbai is one of his favorite characters. He added that if there is a second part to the film, he will play the role of Mullan Chandrapan himself.
Siddique also explains the reason why he got the name Mullan Chandrapan. “When Anwar narrated the story, the character was only named Chandrapan. Anwar Rasheed likes his comedy characters the most, so I was sure that the role given to me would be a comedy.
Initially, the name of the character was only Chandrapan. But later, I told Ratheesh Bhatt, the make-up man for the film to bring about something. He was the one who colored the wig like a thorn and brought it to me. When I went to the location wearing that wig and showed it to Anwar, he liked it. That is how Mullan Chandrapan was born,”
He added that if it was not for that wig, there would be no Mullan Chandrapan today. Meanwhile, Peace is the latest film by Siddique. Peace is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language social satire thriller directed by debutant Sanfeer K. The film stars Joju George in the lead role.
