Asif Ali’s new film ‘Kuttavum Shikshayum’ reaches near its release Date. The film, directed by Rajeev Ravi is all set to release on the 27th of this month. Now, Asif Ali opens up about his friendships in the cinema industry.
Asif Ali says that playing guest roles in films out of friendship gave him better roles. He says that his guest role in the movie Vellimoonga was great hope for him. The actor was speaking in an interview with a media company.
"I get guest roles in many films because of my friendship. I get the best friendships from my film career. I have a friendship that maintains like college life. There are regular friends, personal friends, and close family and friends. So I always say that cinema has a college vibe;” said Asif Ali.
Asif says that his role in Vellimoonga was better than other films he did that year. “I do a lot of guest roles outside of friendships like that. Biju Chettan (actor Biju Menon) called me one night for the movie Vellimoonga and asked if I can do a role in his movie. Though it was a small role, it was a better role than all the rest of my films that came out that year.
The other seven films I did that year were bad. That character in Vellimoonga was a big hope for me;” said Asif Ali.
He also talked about how he got the role in the film Unda. “Rahman (director Khalid Rahman) was also called in for the film Unda. He called four and a half days after the shooting of the film. He asked me if I would go there in three days. Freedom to ask that is outside of friendship. That is the reason I went as well; ”Asif Ali added.
Meanwhile, Asif Ali is all set for the release of Kuttavum Shikshayum starring him in the lead role. Rajeev Ravi directs the film. The film also stars Sunny Wayne, Alanzier, Sharafuddin, and Senthil.
