Thamizhan Director Majith Is Back, Announces Film With Vimal

Director Abdul Majith rose to prominence with Thalapathy Vijay's Thamizhan. Though he directed multiple films after Thamizhan, he is yet to score a hit as big as Thamzhan. Today, he announced his upcoming film with Vimal and Yogi Babu. Apart from directing the film, he is also bankrolling this big-budget film. The film's synopsis reads, "While some of the brokers function professionally, many brokers act in an unethical manner keeping their interests in mind without giving due importance to the requirements of their clients. How the film's protagonist (Vimal) saves people from such selfishness and self."

The screenplay of this untitled film will have all elements raging from sentiment, humour, action and romance. Vimal will be seen as the hero. Champika, Aiswarya Dutta, Yogi Baby, MS Bhaskar, Mottai Rajendran, Ravi Maria, John Vijay, Gnanasambandam, Power Star Srinivasan, Chams and Namo Narayanan will be seen in supporting roles. The film's title will be announced in the coming weeks. Majority of the film wilwere shot in Chennai, while the climax scenes will be shot in Vellore and Ranipet. The film is rumoured to hit the theatres on Pongal 2023. An official announcement will be out in the coming months.
