Rajinikanth is preparing for his upcoming film, Thalaivar 168. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the film’s cast seems to be getting bigger with every passing day. On December 9, the makers announced that they have roped in
Keerthy Suresh to play a pivotal role in Rajinikanth’s film.
Yesterday, Sun Pictures, the production house, took to Twitter to reveal the rest of the cast.
Prakash Raj, who is well known for playing memorable roles in South Indian cinema, has signed on to play an important role. It is unclear whether he plays the main antagonist in the film.
Along with Prakash Raj, yesteryear Actress Meena will play a pivotal role in the film. Sharing the announcement, Sun Pictures revealed that it has been 24 years since Meena and Rajinikanth shared the screen space with each other. In fact, Meena acted as a child artist in Rajinikanth’s Anbulla Rajinikanth and later played his heroine too.
Earlier, it was reported that Khushbhu is in talks to play Rajinikanth’s pair in the film. However, the makers are tight-lipped about the role each character is playing. Reportedly, the shooting of Thalaivar 168 will begin in the second or third week of December.
