Taylor Swift released a new video for her song ‘The Man’

The Man is one of the songs from the album.

The video released a few hours ago features Taylor Swift as a man named Tyler Swift.

The lyrics from her song are, “They'd say I hustled/Put in the work/They wouldn't shake their heads and question how much of this I deserve. What I was wearing, if I was rude/Could all get separated from my good ideas and power moves.”

People speculating about her video state that the song is a commentary on a few people from the industry. No doubt, Taylor is never subtle.

One such person is Scooter Braun. The singer has been in conflict with Braun over the ownership of her earlier albums. It began when Braun acquired the singer’s former label, Big Machine Records, hence owning her musical catalog. Due to this Taylor faced restrictions for performing her own music on copyright grounds.

In the music video, Taylor’s male alters ego urinates in front of a wall adorned with graffiti.

The wall depicts the names of her albums that came before Lover. Accompanying them is a sign that says “Missing: If found return to Taylor Swift.” Another sign is that of a scooter with a red cross through it.

Before releasing ‘Lover’, in an interview with "GMA" co-anchor Robin Roberts, Taylor said. “Something that's very special to me about this album is it's the first one that I will own.”
