Tammareddy Bharadwaj lashes out on viewers for not watching Palasa 1978

In the spree of continuous releases of small films from the last few weeks, another small-budget film has hit the screens last Friday. It is Palasa 1978 directed by Karuna Kumar. Starring Rakshit, Nakshatra and Raghu Kunche in the lead roles, this film got good reviews right from day one. Despite a very good critical acclaim, the film is failing to draw audiences to the theatres. Popular director-producer Tammareddy Bharadwaj presented the film. Also, he is quite upset with the audiences' reception. He said that they are failing even after coming up with good content. He also fired on the audiences for not supporting this film.

Speaking at the recent event held by the movie's team, Tammareddy Bharadwaj said that they have shown the rural culture and caste hierarchy of those times very beautifully in the film. Despite bringing up such a good film, there are no viewers to watch it. Palasa 1978 got a good talk but managed to get only 20 percent occupancies on the first day.

Tammareddy Bharadwaj stated that it is more hurting when the movie fails to perform even with a positive talk. He questioned viewers whether it is not their responsibility to encourage good films with strong content.

These comments sparked a debate on social media where a lot of people are expressing their concerns. Many are feeling that these comments only put the general audiences away from the film as they think that the movie is only for the particular community.
