Tamil actor Shalini has recently grabbed the attention of social media users with her viral ‘divorce photoshoot’. The photos feature Shalini wearing a red gown while happily posing with a banner that reads ‘divorce’. In another photo, she is seen happily tearing apart a photo from her wedding day. One more had her holding a signboard announcing, “I got 99 problems, and a husband ain't one."
Shalini divorced her husband and used the creative photoshoot to announce it. In the caption of the pictures, the actor wrote,
After sharing the pictures, Shalini received both support and criticism. While many came out in support of the actor, a few also mocked her. According to a news report, Shalini accused her husband of mental and physical abuse a few months ago. They were married since July 2020 and have a daughter, Riya.
Shalini’s message through her photoshoot was clear, that divorce is not a failure, but a turning point. She dedicated her post to all the brave women out there who have the courage to leave a bad marriage and stand alone.
