Tamil actor Nitish Veera dies of Covid 19

Popular supporting actor Nitish Veera was battling Covid-19 for the past few weeks. e was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai for treatment. On Monday (May 17) morning, he died at the hospital because of Covid-19 complications. He was 45. Nitish Veera's death came across as a huge shock to everyone in the Tamil film industry. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, aged 8 and 7. Nitish Veera played important roles in Pudhupettai, Vennika Kabadi Kuzhu, Kaala, and Asuran. Selvaraghavan, Dhanush and several other actors took to social media to pay tribute to Nitish Veera.

Nitish played the role of Mani in Selvaraghavan's Pudhupettai starring Dhanush. He shared a photo of himself from the film and wrote, "Rest in peace my mani (sic)."Dhanush wrote, “ This is disheartening. Rest in peace my brother (sic).” Vishnu Vishal's post read, "#RIPNitishVeera. It pains to write this... Acted with him in #Vennilakabbadikuzhu and #MaaveranKittu.. This covid second wave is taking away so many lives.. Be careful and keep your loved ones really close to you... (sic).” Krishna wrote, "Rest in peace my friend Nitish Veera. We did two films together #kazhugoo and #Bellbottom. An extremely passionate actor and a kind soul. The second is wave is not a joke guys.... can’t loose anyone anymore... pls stay in and stay safe (sic)."
