Taapsee Pannu is on a roll. After her successful film Thappad by Anubhav Sinha. She is off to another great project.Taapsee Pannu recently finished shooting for Haseen Dillruba' by Vinil Mathew. It is a romance thriller. Taapsee Pannu will start the shoot for Rashmi Rocket by Akarsh Khurana from 1st April. Though, Taapsee Pannu has already started practicing for the role. Her workout is on full swing for the past two months. This will be her third sports drama. Her other two beings, Soorma' and 'Saandh Ki Aankh'.
The plot of Rashmi Rocket is about a girl from a small town of Kutch in Gujarat who has a special talent of running extremely fast. Taapsee is famous for her commitment to her roles. This film being no exception. Khurana informed how The students were so inspired by Taapsee that the school named their gym after her. She trains for two hours every day for better stamina and the body language of an athlete."
Pannu is also working on her accent. She is taking lessons by a diction expert who is helping her to achieve the right vocabulary of a Kutch dialect. Khurana also added "We’ll be shooting in three chunks. After Kutch, we head to Delhi in May and Dehradun and Mussoorie in June. Rann of Kutch is also an important part of our schedule. In fact, the first schedule starts with a song, which is set in the Rann Utsav."
Khurana said it mirrors the true life of Indian women athletes. It has certain scenes that reveal the harsh realities of sports in India and abroad. Rashmi Rocket has stars like Aparshakti Khurana and Bhavesh Joshi Superhero actor Priyanshu Painyuli. Sports drama has created their own space in Bollywood. Rashmi Rocket is yet another contribution.
