Sushant Singh Rajput suicide: After people demand CBI probe, Mumbai Police to interrogate producer Shekhar Kapur

After the untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, there has been a widespread outcry demanding justice for the actor. The 34-year old actor hanged himself at his residence in Bandra without leaving any suicide note behind. There are many speculations made for his drastic step but no concrete reason has been found yet. While some say the actor was clinically depressed and wasn't taking his pills, others blame the Bollywood industry for ganging up against the actor. Till now, the Mumbai Police has interrogated around 30 people, including his alleged girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. According to the latest reports, producer Shekhar Kapur's statement will also be recorded by the police since his tweets suggested he knew the actor closely.

Sushant was supposed to work with Shekhar in the film called Paani but due to some reasons, the movie was shelved by Yash Raj Productions. After the Kai Po Che actor died by suicide, Shekhar wrote a series of tweets hinting towards the actor's emotional state. He wrote, "Dear Sushant, there was so much more you had to offer. Perhaps the world was not up to your beliefs.. you should not have gone like this ...but then you were an old wise soul in a restless young body. Often the heavens cannot handle that." He further wrote, "I knew the pain you were going through. I knew the story of the people that let you down so bad that you would weep on my shoulder. I wish I was around the last 6 months. I wish you had reached out to me. What happened to you was their Karma. Not yours. #SushantSinghRajput."
