Suriya Announces Releases Of Jai Bhim And Three Films On Amazon Prime Video

Suriya is a pioneer when it comes to OTT. Being a producer, he understood the positives of the medium and took the first step to release Jyotika's Ponmagal Vandhal on Amazon Prime Video. Similarly, his long-pending Soorarai Pottru also skipped theatrical releases and was released on the OTT platform. Suriya's production house, 2D Entertainment, has inked a deal with Amazon Prime Video. Four films from his production house will skip theatrical release and will directly release on Amazon Prime Video. Suriya's Jai Bhim, Jyotika's Udanpirape, Arnav Vijay's Oh My Dog, and Raman Aadalum Ravanan Aandalum will release on OTT every month starting this September.

In a statement, Suriya said, "The past year has been transformative. Given unprecedented circumstances, we innovated on different models of release. Amazon emerged as the chosen streaming service for 2D’s latest film launches. From Ponmangal Vandhal to Soorarai Pottru, these beautiful tales found audiences and resonance not just in India, but across the world. We are happy to take this collaboration even further with Amazon Prime Video.” Suriya announced the film releases of the four films and wrote,
